-HOW DID ALL THIS START?

Born in Cornellà de Llobregat in 1973, I trained at the Municipal School of Art in Cornellà, the Institut d’Estudis Fotogràfics de Catalunya, and as a Senior Technician in Photography at the Serra i Abella school. I began exhibiting art in 1988.

Since then, I have used photography as an artistic language. My first exhibition took place at the legendary Barcelona gallery Espai Fotogràfic Maple Syrup.

Later, I presented my work in various galleries and cultural spaces, showcasing photography in its purest form. However, from 2004 onwards, with my solo exhibition “1 mètre de profondeur” at Halles de l’île – Librairie Archigraphy in Geneva, my artistic approach changed significantly. At this stage, photographic technique began to merge with installation and performance, evolving into a hybrid discipline. The exhibition was a great success with the public, critics, and the press.

In 2009, also in Switzerland, I presented the exhibition “Oberfläche? Surface?” at the Chäslager Stans space in the German-speaking part of the country, in collabora- tion with visual artist Jürg Benninger. In this project, our disciplines merged to create a more conceptual and minimalist form of photography.

That same year, I moved to Brussels. In 2010, I had the opportunity to present the installation-exhibition “Le rêve de Diane” at Galerie 10/12. It was a three-day event that became the cultural “coup de coeur” of the season. This playful and participatory concept, with only two images on display, offered an immerisive experience where the viewer became an integral part of the artwork.

Since then, I have participated in various international projects. Notable exhibitions include the group show “D’Île en Île – La Fábrica de Arte Cubano” in Havana, Cuba; the solo exhibition “Héroes” for the Everybody’s Perfect film festival in Geneva, Switzerland; and the group show “Capas de FALO” at the Galería Híbrida de Arte in São Paulo, Brazil.

-BRUSSELS “MON AMOUR”

The year 2024 has been particularly prolific in terms of exhibitions. I presented my solo show “Post Tenebras Lux” at Studio 84 gallery in Brussels and took part in the group exhibition “Les Liaisons Désireuses. À propos de la luxure, de la séduc- tion et du désir” at Kasteel d’Ursel in Hingene. In this latter show, I shared space with iconic artists of photography and art, such as Joel-Peter Witkin, Mapplethorpe, Keith Haring, Picasso, and Félicien Rops. The exhibition brought together 62 classi- cal and contemporary artists in a dialogue about lust, seduction, and desire.

The year 2025 was particularly productive and significant in the development of my artistic practice.

My work was published in several prestigious international magazines, including Physique Pictorial from the Bob Mizer Foundation—an iconic publication in the history of homoerotic visual culture and male nude photography. Founded in 1951 by pioneer Bob Mizer, Physique Pictorial is widely recognized as one of the most influential magazines of its kind, having played a crucial role in shaping the aesthetics of the male body and opening spaces for queer representation at a time of intense social and legal repression.

My work was also featured in Inspiró and in Pornceptual, an e-zine and artistic platform known for its strong international visibility and cultural impact. Pornceptual promotes a queer, inclusive, ethical, and aesthetic approach to photography and sexual representation, positioning itself as a creative alternative to mainstream erotic photography while actively working to destigmatize sexuality and nudity within an artistic framework.

In addition, I collaborated with choreographer and performer Fernando Troya on the creation of visual material for his performance A Pelo, presented at the Amsterdam Fringe Festival. Fernando Troya—founder of A Pelo Productions, trained at the Royal Conservatory of Dance in Madrid and based in Amsterdam—is known for his embodied and emotionally charged work that explores vulnerability, queer identities, and non-normative narratives. His practice brings together dance, performance, and theatre to question desire, shame, and visibility, combining a deeply physical aesthetic with a strong political dimension.

Alongside these publications and collaborations, my work was exhibited in two exhibitions in Belgium: a solo exhibition at Galerie Studio 3 in Mons, and a participation in the group exhibition “Extra Small #10” at the Maison des Arts de Schaerbeek.

Overall, 2025 marked a year of increased international and interdisciplinary visibility—from print and visual art publications to the images for performing arts—further consolidating my exploration of the body, sensuality, and queer aesthetics within the contemporary art landscape.
